Solace and TIBCO Announce Partnership to Deliver New Hardware-based Messaging Appliance

Ottawa, Canada, May 16, 2008 - Solace Systems today announced a partnership agreement with TIBCO Software Inc. to help develop and manufacture a hardware appliance that capitalizes on TIBCO’s leading messaging software technology and integrates fully into the TIBCO Rendezvous® product family. The TIBCO Messaging Appliance™ will offer unprecedented throughput with ultra-low latency allowing organizations to accelerate data delivery while simplifying operations and substantially reducing datacenter footprint.

“We are pleased to be working with TIBCO, the world leader in deployed high-performance messaging infrastructure, to raise the stakes in messaging” said Craig Betts, Solace’s CEO. “By meshing their years of experience and superior software with our unique hardware knowledge, TIBCO is ideally positioned to revolutionize how information is distributed globally.”

Hardware complements software by implementing core performance-sensitive operations in dedicated silicon to accelerate execution speeds and reduce latency. Through this partnership, Solace will act as TIBCO’s manufacturing partner to produce this new hardware platform for distribution as part of the TIBCO Rendezvous product family.

“The market requirement for lower latency and higher performance, particularly among financial services organizations, has never been greater,” said Denny Page, chief engineer for TIBCO Software Inc. “Our partnership with Solace enables TIBCO to enhance our Rendezvous product to define a new standard for performance, reliability and manageability.”
The TIBCO Messaging Appliance is scheduled for release in calendar Q4 2008.
